Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Cut Power Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in Ukraine
Ukraine's energy systems have come under increased attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were injured while local people in eastern neighborhoods were plunged into darkness and encountered disruption to drinking water, as stated by municipal leaders.

At the same time, a young boy was fatally injured in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, based on information from local officials.

Russian forces has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "real steps" from partner nations to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not symbolic gestures but firm measures - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in supplying protection systems and implementing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles targeted energy facilities, characterizing such attacks as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and repair crews were working to repair systems.

A series of attacks hit electrical systems and apartment buildings in the capital.

Five out of the nine people injured in the strikes on the capital have been transported for medical care, per statements from city authorities.

Area administrators said the urban area came under significant strikes overnight. A minor lost their life and multiple civilians were wounded.

The assaults follow evenings of aerial attacks in the area, portions of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to spot.

National leaders told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already affecting energy systems.

Officials stated technical personnel and officials were anticipating further attacks.
